Striker impresses for Wealdstone…..

Wealdstone comfortably defeated Hanwell Town away 4-2 in a friendly on Tuesday night.

The Stones went behind early on but managed to equalise through ex professional striker Ben Abbey. The former Oxford United forward netted from close range and Ryan Ashe fired Wealdstone in front from the penalty spot.

Jamie Osborne extended the visitors’ lead in the second half after good work from Ashe.

The home side pulled one back but Wealdstone sealed the win when Abbey turned neatly and finished for his brace.

The Stones face a short trip to Potters Bar Town this Saturday.
